Apple store gives DG no love
I attended a UCAS conference today at the Sheffield Hallam FM Arena. It was very busy, but I still managed to pick up a good number of prospectus’ for Universities.
After the conference, me school stopped off at a nearby shopping centre (Meadowhall) to give us a bit of time to have a browse around the shops. It was there waiting for me, the Apple store. And I never even knew it existed.

It’s a beautiful sight, isn’t it? Of course, I had a couple of Windows users with me at the time, so I had the feeling I was dragging them inside. Not that I care. I don’t care what they say, they were impressed with what they saw. (Though I wasn’t impressed with the Office package… slow as hell to load – Microsoft playing nasty tricks?).
I was interested to see what my blog looked like on the iMacs and Mac Pros, and maybe I got a little carried away. After loading it up on 3 or 4 different Macs, I was receiving a few stares from the staff – stares that clearly said “Stop or leave the store.” I’d been there a good twenty minutes (no intention to buy), so I probably outstayed my welcome.
Still, the publicity was good whilst it lasted – and I bet some of those shop assistants will log on to the blog… right?
I wish I could afford a sleek, black Macbook.
Advertising The Daily Grumble is like advertising toilet paper. It may be the softest, safest, cheapest, best toilet paper…but you’re sitll going to wipe your arse with it.
